Friterie Rogue (Friterie en plage) — Restaurant in Bayeux

Perfect location after spending the day on the D-Day beaches and the location is phenomenal. We had the best experience here at the Friterie Rogue. Marvin, the owner, told us how this business has been in his family since his grandpa started it in 1972, and how he and his wife take care of it now & they have done a phenomenal job! Marvin took our order in English, gave us all the recommendations for his favorite local cheese on some of the burgers. My husband and I both got the le p’tit Normand burger with their camembert local cheese with a fry with their garlic sauce and wow! It was SO good!!! We then got a crêpe with the caramel and salt and OMG it was amazing and hot flavor busted into our mouths. The whole ambiance was so good, great food even the fries were honestly some of the best fries I’ve ever had, crunchy full of flavor. Overall we would definitely tell all our friends and family in America to take a stop here! Thank you Marvin for making our d day experience...

What a great placce. At the end of the esplanade at vierville, so right on omaha beach. Lovely food - we have cheeseburgers and fries (amazing frites) The staff are all very friendly. We then sat for a few hours on the sea wall, and had some takeaway beers (it was our last night in france!) (you pay a deposit on the cups, but they are nice D Day souveneirs. Omaha beach is wonderful as a family sandy beach for swimming, playing on or kites and of course there is all of the D Daay history with bunkers yards from this place. We ate here twice when out walking, during our stay at Omaha beach camping site. I've never seen such a well organised business where everything goes so smoothly and staff who are so professional and polite. They listen very carefully to every order to make sure they get it right. Love street food and these guys didn't disappoint. If your in the area, def call in.
