I normally don't write reviews but this place was so subpar I have to warn other travelers. I specifically booked this room because it had air conditioning. When we got there, the air conditioner hissed, but no cold air came out. I alerted the staff and they said that they would fix it, and I even offered to switch rooms if it couldn't be fixed that day. The hotel clerk shook her head at my suggestion and said that it would be fixed. When we got back later that night, it clearly wasn't fixed and the staff refused to do anything about it. The blinds were so caked with dirty there was no way we were touching them. We stayed in a stuffy, hot room, and it ruined our experience of Biarritz. To make matters worse, there was a fly that was stuck in the room and buzzing around our heads all night long- not only gross, but couldn't sleep!||The broken aircon wasn't the only thing wrong- the room was not clean- spiders and spiderwebs in the corners, dirty blinds, overall unsanitary conditions. Definitely avoid this...
Read moreCampanile Biarritz||When transitting France we nearly always choose Campanile. The rooms are basic but comfortable and pretty much the same whichever one you choose.||It is an airport stopover so be aware you could be forgiven for thinking you were on the runway but we knew that having stayed here before.||For us the benefit of these is that you can always park, and always get a meal and wine in the restaurant in the evening and breakfast, both at additional cost. This was the case here too but we were disappointed to see no buffet offering in the evening. Every other one we have been to offer this. Despite this the meal we had was lovely. The staff were friendly and helped with translating the menu, so thank you!||Breakfast is pretty standard in all the ones we’ve been to. Cereal, croissants, toast, pastries, cheese and ham etc. This one cost around €12. ||The air con did not work in our room but we were OK despite the weather being on...
Read moreEasy walking distance to the airport bus stop to take a bus into the main area of Biarritz. Staff were friendly and eager to help. There's a large supermarket nearby that you can access with a vehicle. Besides that, this place felt like a summer camping location. There was no fridge in the room. We had to ask for a second towel. The provided towels weren't the most pleasant-scented. Trees and bushes seemed overgrown and limited the space where you'd walk to get to the staircases, etc. The carpeting and furnishings in the room were definitely dated. Around 9am on the last morning, a staff member entered the room while we were still in bed making for an awkward moment. (Apparently, there is only a door lock that can still be opened by an employee card.) Before choosing to stay here, you may wish to look into...
