The Beach House — Restaurant in Bayonne

Let me start like this... The beach house serves food that you don't normally find in france especially not in the south west in a location that is reminiscent of Miami or sydney or The roof at a soho house if you have been. A locally private garden with a boat refashioned as a bar is in front of a lovely house where you can dine if the weather is not superb though the real gem is the huge terrace and bar in the back with a wooden swimming pool surrounded by deck chairs and little cabana like booths plus a second bar for those cold gin and tonics when it's a bit warm. The place is also kid friendly and the pool is only waist deep so no need to take you eyes off your drink or amazing super salad to watch the little ones. I don't usually go into so much detail but I really feel at home here being a sydney sider at heart. Great for drinks, a bit of a party or lunch / dinner in a very Bali / Saigon style...

Ahh look it's a great place great setting, nicely designed and good menu, but not for young kids really ...we took our boys and they made them sit and wait until 3pm to use the pool....on a boiling day and you just felt u needed to shhhhhh constantly. There was no coffee or ice tea at the bar and the staff though a bit helpful didn't go out of their way to make life easy for you. Food was good though. It's probably more for the 20-30 something's...

Très déçue :( Pas partisane des mauvais commentaires mais là.... nous y sommes allé en amoureux, un soir sans enfants ( trop génial ) couple sportif en diete toute l'année , c'était NOTRE plaisir du moment ! On avais hâte . Douche froide ! Serveur un peu perché beaucoup sur son téléphone, mon mari commande « un magret » écrit comme ça à la carte , 26 euros . Le serveur ne lui demande pas la cuisson, monsieur lui dit donc « servez me la bleue svp » l'assiette arrive avec un « demi magret » bien cuit ! Il renvoi l'assiette, normal à 26 euros le demi magret il faut pas déconner, ils lui renvoient avec la bonne cuisson mais avec en garniture, une pomme grenaille coupée en deux et un morceau de légume vert . Quand à moi, poulpe grillé, « une tentacule » Garniture très bonne en revanche et copieuse , mais plus de 20 balles quand même ! Camembert rôti 150 g 13 € !! Excusez moi mais si vous allez manger un plat à la briketenia ( restaurant gastronomique) vous mangerez mieux et pour le même prix ! Attrape touriste ! On m'a vendu la reprise de ce restaurant au salon du mariage comme un truc de dingue ! Je doit y retourner pour un anniversaire , mais si c'était mon anniversaire je n'irais pas là bas !! Après celui ci je n'y met plus un pied ! J'ai connu le beach House avant , c'était bien différent ! On croirais presque que ce ne sont pas des gens d'ici qui tienne ce...
