La Petite Fontaine — Restaurant in Bellac

I visited this restaurant when the previous owners were there and it was such a lovely place. Then I visited a few weeks ago and I was very disappointed. The food was lovely and so is the lady owner and the older gentleman behind the bar but omg the other man that works there is so rude. I thought he was the owners husband but apparently not. There was several times throughout our time there that he made comments and then he spoke poorly about us to a couple who he knew. Excellent plat de jour here today. A very good cheese tart with a small salad to start, turkey escalope with chips (just right!) and garnish. Good selection of ice cream and sorbet to choose from as dessert. Coffee or glass of wine included. We were here on a Monday, when most competition is closed. The super friendly English chef told us that her offerings on Monday are limited, my first thought was: what a missed opportunity.

The starters and desserts were all four, disappointing, but both mains where finger-licking good.
