La Bergerie — Restaurant in Bonneville

Together with my son during a morning mountain bike ride, we decided to do a coffee/limonade break and enjoy the incredible Mont-Blanc view in Plaine-Joux before the descent. The chef was preparing some pie crust and we engaged the discussion around home-made versus factory-made and I was happy to learn that mostly everything was home-made in this restaurant and that they were assembling everything from raw ingredients sourced when possible locally. Thanks to the great discussion, we decided to book for the next day for dinner with my wife and we can just confirm the quality of the food and the incredible taste of the home made blueberry pie... We had an incredible sun set yesterday evening and colors that were amazing and I'll try to attach a picture if possible. The personnel were extremely friendly and they kindly offered small blankets when it started to be a little bit fresh outside. All in all, probably one of the best dinner experiences with incredible scenery. We do recommend and the prices are really honest and correct if you compare the offer around !! And the cherry on the cake is that I could have a fondue only for one person... This place is a must do if...

I really don’t understand how this restaurant gets such good reviews. I came here two days in a row, only to be turned away both times. The first day, we were refused service because ‘the kitchen was closed’—even though the restaurant was still open for another 45 minutes. The next day, we arrived at 3:45 PM, but again were refused because apparently the kitchen closes at 3:00 PM. What kind of restaurant closes its kitchen two hours before closing time? To make it worse, the staff was far from polite. Highly overrated and definitely not...

Ce restaurant est une escroquerie une fraude je m’explique. On commande deux plats hamburger frites, résultat : les hamburgers sont vraiment peu goûteux, la viande est archi cuite c’est du caoutchouc, quant aux frites c’est une mini portion même juste pour un enfant. J’espérais un plat bien goûteux et bien copieux après une grosse randonnée, mais quelle déception!!! Tellement lés portions étaient ridicules, que j’avais énormément faims à la fin du repas😔☹️. payer un plat 20 euros pour rien manger c’est inadmissible, surtout que les frites sont un produit peu onéreux. J’ai fait part de mon ressenti à la serveuse qui m’a expliqué que les steaks étaient des steaks congelés, d’où une cuisson caoutchouc conformément à la réglementation des viandes congelées. Aller au restaurant pour manger des steaks congelés 👏👏👏👏👍👍👍, il devrait avoir l’honnêteté d’informer le client dans la carte des menus. Encore un énorme loupé pour ce restaurant. Malgré avoir pris connaissance de nos déceptions aucun geste n’a été effectué, ils auraient pu par exemple, nous donner une portion correcte de frites, mais il n’en a rien été.j’ai observé les assiettes des autres clients et même constat: les portions sont vraiment ridicules. Si vous avez faim et que vous voulez vous remplir le ventre passez votre chemin, en plus pour un steak congelé surcuit caoutchouc non merci! C’est un indigne vraiment . Vraiment hyper déçu, je déconseille...
