La Gamelle — Restaurant in Bonneville

We didn’t want to write this review out of fear it would get too busy but they deserve all the popularity!! We chose to return to Samoëns this year because we know this place exists. Simply the tastiest burgers we have ever eaten, on or off a mountain. 🤌 They have the comforting aroma of McDonald’s but with fresh ingredients and beautiful preparation. The service is pleasant enough to make you feel like you’re on holiday, but rude enough to remind you that you’re still in France. Exquisite.

The price is also extraordinary for the top of a ski slope, less than €10 for the best lunch you could hope for, while other restaurants serve fries for €15.

Found this gem on our third day of skiing! This place is the best place to eat when you’re out on the Samoëns slopes. For adult and kids! Great food, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Comfortable seating area in the sun and you’re not crammed in like sardines - unlike other places up on the hill. Would give this NO STARS if I could! Don't waste your money! We have been coming here for years; when it was Mimis and then when it changed to La Gamelle.The food has always been good but today (with a different cook )it was a disgrace!! The burger (which was dry)was covered in an overpowering cheap tomato sauce mixed with mustard & topped with cold processed cheese... and the bun was horrible...all in all inedible!
