An unforgettable experience at Le Petit Lay, Savoyard soul, exceptional meats, and the sweetest cows!

If you're searching for a genuine alpine escape where tradition, family, and quality converge, that’s precisely what Le Petit Lay delivers. Tucked 6 km from the center of Megève on the breathtaking slopes of Côte 2000 at about 1,435 m altitude, this Savoyard gem sits among vistas of Mont Joly and the Aiguilles Croches.

The Meats The meat here isn’t just good, it’s exceptional. You can feast on cuts from their own family farm, a delightful example of farm to table dining at its best. These meats are steeped in local authenticity and carefully prepared. Whether part of their hearty tartiflette, fondue, farcement, or special meat dishes, each bite tastes like Savoyard tradition and care.

The Cows and Family Touch Come summer, you can actually see the cows grazing nearby, some belonging to the family's own farm. It’s heartwarming to know exactly where your food comes from. Kids and adults alike adore watching the donkeys and their little ones roam playfully, a charming sight that makes dining here truly memorable.

Ambience In summer, the spacious terrace offers panoramic mountain views. In winter, you’re welcomed indoors by a cozy fireplace, perfect after a day on the slopes. Whether you're enjoying tartiflette in the sun or warming up with fondue by the fire, the atmosphere radiates comfort and authenticity.

Le Petit Lay is a place of true alpine heritage. With a beautiful location, outstanding meats from their own farm, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and animals that bring the mountain life to you, it is an authentic dining experience not to...

This place is nice to enjoy some sun after a walk to the Altiport of Megève. Close to it there is a pedestrian way that allows you to enjoy this promenade. The welcome is pretty dry and the lady that manages it is really not a good hostess. They just want to fill their table and that's all. Come with a reservation. + Terrasse + Little kids area + Chill and Tan + Homemade deserts - Manager attitude - Small parking come early - Food is just really basic - Not a lot of choice

The restaurant is fantastic. Great location, nearby the Altiport and Ski pistes of Cote 2000. The bus also stops in the front. It's great for children as they can play outside and parents can sit and enjoy their Lunch in the sun and with panoramic views on the terras. They serve a beautiful Cafe Gourmand and Cheese Omelette with fries and Salad. Super friendly service also. Would definitely recommend.
