Crossing the bridge between Fleurville in Saône-et-Loire and Pont-de-Vaux located in Ain, we had a go at Le Raisin, a well located establishment. Quiet and comfy, the restaurant will invite you to a tasting experience through a range of regional dishes. Products are targeting local production and the 'Carte des Vins' is covering the best of France. Why not trying the frog legs? Fried with fresh herbs, they might surprised you! Thanks to the staff for the warm welcome and the dedication during our time in your restaurant.

I had a great experience at Le Raisin. I ordered a Menu Plaisir with Foie Gras de Canard to the Filet de Canette, which were exquisite. The service was impeccable, and staff helped us with the wine and cheese selections. The Chariot de Fromage and dessert de la maison were amazing. We spent around 100 euros per person, and the menu was worth every euro. I highly recommend this place for an extraordinary dining experience.

A good one star restaurant. Very tasty, big portions, great frog legs and wine selection. Had very good time there. Personnel was very polite. Lowlights: personnel was a bit under-dressed, wine pooring technique was not the top. The restaurant is nice and modern, but the hotel is very old-fashioned. Big contrast. Overall, pleasant experience.

We stayed here for one night, and ate the excellent Menu Plaisir at 54 euros (66 euros for 4 courses). It was, as ever, excellent. Celine Michel always gives us a warm welcome, and Frederic produces his admirable food in the streamlined modern kitchen. Prepare for a long and enjoyable evening as you entertain your palate with the delicate amuses gueles or gourmandises which Frederic serves between between each delicious course. This is |fine dining as theatre, and everything is presented with an admirable panache, flair and attention to detail. The garnishes include fresh flowers, foams and jellies. However, I had not met before the garnish of small green fronds (samphire perhaps, or fried parsley?) in which a crisp green Kromeski, served as a tiny appetiser, nestled in a bowl. I chewed my way, without pleasure, through two or three of the green tufts and then gave up. When I asked the waiter what they were, he replied with amusement 'mousse'! 'Moss' is not on my list of edible delights, and will never be rolled round and round my mouth again! Otherwise, full marks to the Michels for a truly exciting dining experience.|This is really a restaurant with rooms, and the bedrooms are comfortable without being in any way luxurious. But the food is the thing to go for here, but just inspect the...
