This was truly a perfect restaurant experience (dare I say Michelin worthy?). Very friendly staff who were enthusiastic about their craft and were also genuinely interested in us as customers. The food was delicious and out of the ordinary in the best way, with the Burrata starter being a standout in my opinion.

We overheard a conversation between the chef and the hostess discussing how she could take our drinks orders in English, this warmed my heart and made especially clear how they were willing to go the extra mile for their customers (we tried to use our best French too of course).

On top of that it’s a beautiful location with a nice view of the vineyards, and the prices are more than reasonable. Would highly recommend! You should go out of your way to...

Fantastic restaurant in the small village of Bué, 5 kilometres away from Sancerre. From the moment you walk in the restaurant, you feel at home. A lovely light dining room with views of the vineyards accompanied by excellent service. The food was fantastic and many thanks to the chef for the quality of the cuisine. Abalone for starter served simply on a creamy risotto followed by the most delicious pigeon pie with cabbage, foie gras and pleurottes jaunes: executed perfectly and so well-balanced in terms of flavours. Chapeau ! Highly recommend this restaurant. Would go back in a flash. Really...

Goodbye…and Hello!!!!

We returned to this superb restaurant having visited it in September 2023 to find it had gone up several notches in terms of quality, presentation and service only to learn it is closing down for a short period later this month but to reopen in a new bistro style guise eatery.

We can’t wait to come and sample the new delights produced by an exquisite chef; her very able assistants and Thomas’s welcoming and attentive team....

This is an amazing place in the Sancerre area if you're looking for something special. The food and the hospitality of Thomas and his team were from another level. We enjoyed a 3 course menu A La Carte, served with some amazing amuses. The food was fresh and the combinations were refreshing. @Thomas thanks for the great evening and to add on our conversation: 'Ris de Veau' is called a 'Kalfszwezerik' in Dutch!

Stopped for lunch on our way from Amboise to Meursault for my wife’s birthday. We were a little lost in the town and called the restaurant. Thomas, the owner, answered and was so friendly and helpful that he met us in the village center and walked us to the restaurant. We had the four course meal, with a few chef extras thrown in. Every course, including the wine pairing was amazing.
