Great quality food and nice staff, but the owner has an ego larger than life. Today an Englishman needed directions to pick up his son who got injured...but the instructions got lost in translation. Happens when Englishmen don't speak good French and vice-versa - no big deal. After some to-ing and fro-ing the owner somehow felt the need to step in and state (I quote) "I am an instructor, mountain guide and owner of this place and it seems you don't want our help." Well done Mr.... the guy was about to leave your restaurant confused as to where to go (down via Marteau to Aravet instead of Casse de Boeuf right behind your restaurant). Help him out. And don't take it so personal when it takes time to convey where to go. These are your guests after all.

I had their boeuf bourguignon, which was absolutely delicious – rich, tender, and full of deep flavors. My friends had burgers, and they were just as impressed. Everything was well-prepared and served with care.
