L'Echaillon2200 — Restaurant in Briançon

As soon as we walked through door covered in snow we were welcomed by delightfully friendly staff. Our waitress was accomodating and a great laugh. Recommending the local galabier beer on tap, which she was absolutely right. The american pale ale has citrus notes and the Blanche had a lovely taste and full body. There's a great wine selection too. The food was exceptional across the board. I had the salade d'echaillon which was plentiful after a hard mornings ski in the off piste, filled with scrumptious pieces of delicately smoked trout, well dressed puy lentils, leaves and cherry tomatoes of all colours. The croutons were obviously handmade, good size, cooked with herbs and garlic, perfectly crunchy. Far superior than the bought ones. All at a very reasonable price, will be visiting again when...

Great view, for sure, but staff is running out of excuses to justify the absence of your course after 45 mins.. tried it at the beginning of the season (inexperienced staff, new cook, as I would not call that a chef, half of ingredients missing..) and at the end of the season (exhausted staff, disorganised team..). Having said, they usually end up picking your bill, out of desperation.. worth another star I...

Beau cadre avec une belle terrasse, très agréable par beau temps mais il faut y arriver tôt car il n’y avais déjà plus de place dehors à 12h10. Certains plats valent le détour comme la tartiflette, cependant nous avons été très déçus par la salade Alpine à 24€ pour laquelle le rapport qualité /prix n’y est pas ( sachant qu’il s’agit bien d’un plat et non d’une entrée). En effet, il y avait beaucoup trop de salade et trop peu de garnitures ( un seul morceau de reblochon pané, un seul tourton, un seul petit morceau d’un autre formage pané ainsi qu’une tranche de jambon cru. Nous sommes clairement restés sur notre faim avec cette salade dont le prix est excessif par rapport à ce que nous avions dans notre bol (de salade). Le tiramisu au spéculos est très bon en revanche même si le prix semble aussi un peu élevé. Serveurs agréables. Un petit verre de génépi est offert au moment de régler l’addition ce qui est un plus.
