I have been travelling from west to east in the south of France for 2 weeks now and Côté Jardin holds a special place in my heart.
I showed up alone at 7:15 and was pleasantly greeted by Donald (my server) and the Maître De. I was seated immediately and was accommodated with English menus and pleasantries.
I proceeded to order a bottle of 2016 Triennes which was very fairly priced and rich in flavour.
I enjoyed my main course, lamb and garden vegetables, which was cooked to perfection. The chef chose the fusion of the Demi perfectly, complimenting the main course and the vegetables with a holistic flare and incredible home made comfort that anybody would appreciate.
The service was attentive and very fast. I was even given a complimentary shot by the bar.
The dessert was a limoncello glass which brought the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal.
Should you be travelling through St-Maximin please do not pass by this experience. You will not be disappointed.
10/10. I will be returning on my...
Read moreCycling from Aix to Tourves we decided to have lunch at this restaurant in Saint Maximin fore which we made a reservation, however upon arrival at the restaurant it turned out we made the reservation at a similar restaurant called Cote Jardin but located in Sainte Maxime ....close to St Tropez. Regardless our mistake and a fully booked restaurant the head waiter managed to get us a table in a cosy corner on the outdoor terrace.....thats called "customer care"....quite unusual these days in France! From the extensive menu we selected the Tataki de Thon and the Steak Tartare Classique (hand cut!) which we could still prepare ourselves to our liking! All food was delicious and well presented. Definitely a venue we will return to and highly recommended to those after a great french "down to...
Read moreWe’ve visited st maximin for many years and this was the first time we’ve tried Cote Jardin. It was absolutely fabulous. Hubby had steak and I went for the lamb. Both were very generous portions and cooked just as we asked for. The veg with the lamb was a welcome change to the usual frites. I was hoping for a crème brûlée and although sadly it wasn’t to be the lemon cheescake was lovely. Great atmosphere and staff that were attentive and helpful. The menu only offers wine by the bottle but they were happy to supply by the glass. Thanks for a...
