We were on our way to Portbou when we were turned around due to a forest fire. No hotel, no restaurant. Knowing it was getting late and it was a Saturday night, my wife quickly came across this restaurant. We called and the owner, Anne, gave us a good feeling from the start. She said “no worries. Make your way here and I will make sure you have a table” asked us a rough time and that was it. When we arrived, there were only two tables available, one in perfect position for us. Menu had all the right selections, wine list and good beers to chose from. Having had a lot of fish recently, we felt like a good burger frites and a good bottle of wine. Everything was to perfection! Prices very reasonable. Added to that, was the service. Impecable. Our server, Enia (hope I spelt that right!), was as charming, kind and attentive that you can be without being overbearing. Se me quedó el teléfono en una mesa, me doy cuenta cuando llego a Figueras, me hago 86 km. mi mujer pregunta, las chicas muy amables hasta que llega el dueño y dice que no esta, me bajo del coche y le pregunto yo, me dice que no hay ningún teléfono, muy seco y serio, vuelvo al coche, cojo el teléfono de mi mujer y me llamo, hablo de nuevo con él y me dice que no está aquí, entro por el bar haciendo otra llamada y escucho mi teléfono, le digo que lo estoy escuchando, lo coge en la mano: ah! ¿Es este? El típico negocio que funciona gracias a la simpatía y profesionalidad de sus empleadas, el dueño un déspota y mal educado.

Lo que usted me contesta es mentira, no se molestó lo mas mínimo en buscar el teléfono, nunca me dijo que llamara para escucharlo, solo quería que me fuese de allí para no molestarlo mas. Entré al bar despues de varias negativas por su parte y yo escuché mi teléfono, momento en el que usted se vió obligado a sacarlo. No se preocupó lo mas mínimo por nada, solo me decía que allí no estaba el teléfono y nada tiene que ver que no hablara su idioma, tampoco soy catalán, soy español de Canarias. What a great experience in this restaurant. Didier offered us a very warm welcome and took care of us like never. He took the time to explain every single plate and was very cool with our kids.
