La Boîtabébert — Restaurant in Céret

We are staying for two weeks in Port Vendres so getting a chance to try lots of local restaurants, and so far this has been the best value. The set menu at 19 euros is great, lovely salad followed by a simply delicious tuna steak. Chocolate fondant good too. Lots of places locally have issues with getting enough staff, so I'm guessing that explains a few problems raised in reviews, but really this restaurant deserves five stars for it's food, especially for their set menu! Visited on a very busy evening. Very welcoming. Language difficulties, but all the staff got involved and helped with translation . Had menu of day x3. Honestly I can't fault the food. Je suis navrée à le dire, riz ( qui accompagnait le poisson) était à l'eau aucun assaisonnement avec ( il m'a été répondu :riz parfumé. Les légumes petites compositions étaient aussi à l'eau. Aucune sauce avec le poisson. J'avais l'impression d'être au régime. Quand au dessert : Crème Catalane. Un goût bizarre.. Pourtant c'est mon dessert favori. lorsqu'il m'a amené les petites cuillères. il les a balancé, il m'a fallu remettre à l'endroit le haut de la cuillères en haut. lorques je suis aller payé, j'ai eu les critiques, que nous venions de Colliours manger vers eux car c'était moins cher.
