My family and I had the best meal of our trip to Catalunya at La Dulcine. We are Americans who only speak English/Spanish and were therefore a little nervous to enter the quaint French venue filled with local families, but the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The owners even called us when we got stuck in traffic to make sure we were okay and still on our way.
From start to finish, the meal was incredible. We were unable to sit on the breathtaking outdoor patio due to rain, but the indoor dining room was just as beautiful. The food and wine were absolutely amazing. Getting to experience French fusion cuisine (our week’s menu featured Japanese-inspired dishes) was unique and so delicious. We found it to be an excellent value for what we paid, and the three-course format to be very helpful for decision making.
If we are ever in the region again, we will 100% return. We encourage all visitors looking for a lovely, authentic French dining experience to make a stop at La Dulcine. You...
Read moreLa Dulcine … just outside of Ceret , on the route to Amelie Les Bains is a sweet gem. Very lovely husband & wife run restaurant featuring traditional french cuisine with an Asian Fusian influence . Everything very fresh & the presentation couldn’t be improved upon . You are welcomed upon your arrival with genuine hospitality & the service is impeccable . You have a choice of delicious menus … 3, 6, or 9 courses & a la carte as well but whatever you decide upon you will be pleasantly surprised by unexpected little extras throughout your dinner experience . A reservation is preferred as is a very large & beautiful space with indoor & outdoor terrace but it’s family run with a small staff . One of the most memorable dining experiences I have had in this region & highly recommend. Not to miss if you are in the area & looking for something special. Do not pass this one by . As well , there is onsite parking which is a huge consideration ! My fav new find …...
