Bela Pausa — Restaurant in Calais

We reached here an hour before closing time and had a bulk take-away order. The ladies at the restaurant very happily offered the full menu and took our order without any issues. We could only speak broken French and they couldn't speak English, however we managed wonderfully and they did not make any fuss at all!

We tried a few of the pizzas and a few burgers, along with some fries and cola. The food was delivered within the time we were promised and was delivered piping hot! The food was very delicious and we absolutely enjoyed our meal. The beef burger was easily the best I've had during my visit to Europe this time around.

Splendid little restaurant at the square in GUINES. I was passing to see my old school (1984) DON BOSCO and was hoping to see one of the nuns there but no one was in 😌 I have so many fond memories from there!! It was Friday lunchtime and the Market had just cleared. The St Jaques Pizza and au Chèvres as well as the Rai fish were out of this world. The lady who served us was so helpful and welcoming. The setting was ideal for us… nice and quiet! Don’t be fooled by the appearances…. As we say it is always the quiet ones you need to look out for. Normally not when restaurants are concerned but this is one, located outside the touristy cities was well worth the visit. 💯authentic French cuisine. Vibe La France 🇫🇷 Merci...

Great bar with good beers, food and totally family friendly either many locals of all generations (down to newborn!) in situ. Close to Calsis for Brits on the way home....
