Tacos Bonito — Restaurant in Calvi

In short: Warm-hearted service, great food, a chill vibe, well organized, cool seating areas and all at a fair price — highly recommended 🌮

We stumbled upon Tacos Bonito by chance after a long beach day, having lost track of time. Most places were closed for lunch, and this food truck was about to shut down too. Still, they welcomed our group of six without hesitation, even though we arrived just five minutes before closing. With a mix of gestures, a few words of English, and some good spirit, we managed to place our orders.

They offer "tacos" which are more like large burritos, available in three sizes — Normal (1 meat), Medium (2 meats), and XL (3 meats) — all customizable with cheese, greens, and heat level. We went with two XLs, a Medium, and two Normals, plus some drinks, all for a very fair price.

The food was really good, especially the XL — mine was cooked perfectly, and I couldn’t even finish it. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned, might have been the best seasonned food we got on the island, and it felt like they really cared about what they served.

The vibe was great too. They had three seating options: a wooden-roof tavern section with bench tables, a terrace-style lounge, and a high-chair with wine-barrels as tables. It all felt very laid-back and inviting.

The two cooks which i assume are the owners seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do — friendly, smiling, and full of positive energy. I've added photos of the setup and menu; they say more than words can.

We tried Tacos Bonito just before closing and were glad we did. The food, more burrito-style than taco, was surprisingly fresh and flavorful. The XL with three meats stood out — juicy, perfectly cooked, and well-balanced in spice. Abbiamo scoperto Tacos Bonito durante il nostro soggiorno a Saint Florent grazie a un volantino trovato nella reception del nostro albergo.

Si tratta essenzialmente di un food truck ben organizzato posizionato all'interno di un'area di parcheggio verso il limitare della città e vicinissimo al cinema all'aperto. Il menu è molto ben costruito e prevede tacos, burger e sandwich personalizzabili con diversi ingredienti, ma anche insalate, piatti e dessert! Insomma, ce n'è per tutti i gusti e per tutte le tasche perché l'offerta è varia e ben calibrata, impossibile non trovare qualcosa!

Tutto viene preparato al momento dai ragazzi che sono estremamente gentili, rapidi e indaffaratissimi. Presente un frigobar per le bevande e si può consumare il pasto anche sul posto, usufruendo dei tavolini vicino al truck o del dehor ricavato in una piacevole struttura in legno.

Noi abbiamo ordinato dei tacos e ci siamo trovati davvero benissimo, la qualità anche della carne è ottima, la salsa al curry sfiziosa e tutto era cotto e freschissimo. Prezzi super abbordabili rispetto a Saint Florent e accettano CB.
