Le Spot — Restaurant in Carcassonne

This was by far our favorite restaurant from Castelnaudary to Port Cassafieres! A beautiful spot on the Canal du Midi with overnight mooring. The staff were very friendly and so nice to talk with. The chef is a master! The dinner (entrecôte & poke bowl) were delicious and the dessert was the best we have ever had anywhere!

Check out the pics of dessert - a thin cake topped with chocolate mouse, mango, whipped cream , chocolate, lavender, and rose petals. Absolutely amazing. Got one to go for breakfast the next morning.

Le Spot is a welcome addition to La Redorte, a beautiful picturesque spot on the Canal du Midi. Comfortable and intimate, with a beautiful terrace. The food is excellent, changing seasonal menu. We've eaten there four times and have never been disappointed. We haven't tried their brunch but we have heard it is excellent. We have lunched - brunched and had evening meals at Le Spot regularly since last November when Jérôme opened the restaurant. Always superb. Highly recommended. Last evening we were a group of 5 and had as usual an great evening. I can’t enter all the times we have visited as the option to do so is not there. We have often had parties of 8 ( including friends from the USA - Australia the U.K. and of course local friends and never a disappointment. Well done to Jérôme and all his staff. See you again...
