L'Escale Village — Restaurant in Châteauroux

A great place to return and enjoy fast service with great food with very tradition French regional dishes!

In terms of price if you opt for the daily menu you will be well served in quantity and quality with no fancy plating. A la carte it is more pricey but quantity is way more and that you specially see/feel it on the deserts.

We have recently visited this place twice for lunch. Once a la carte for the famous and gigantic fruits de mer plate with a la carte desert. This was a divine experience! Great quality well cooked sea food with lovely variety and delicious good looking deserts! The last time was a lunch with the menu of the day. No fancy serving playing but delicious food.

Always fast service and serving! HIGLY RECOMMEND!! Good to say that it is a place known for decades specially by truck drivers, meaning: good quantity, great homemade cooking, fast...

We drove into the car park of this eatery and was convinced it was closed. It wasn’t until we were right outside their sliding doors and someone left we realised it was actually open. We were not expecting too much, but it’s fair to say they exceeded our expectations by a huge margin. Good food, promptly served and super reasonable price. I’d highly recommend a stop for food, just be aware it might look closed!

Side note, toilets were spotless!

There is a brasserie and a restaurant. For the restaurant, I'd put it a 3.5 star if I could, a decent place. We had the 25.80€ menus (I heard there's a cheaper option on weekdays, so it might be worth a 4 star on weekdays), which includes appetizer, main dish and dessert - with some rillettes before the appetizer and meringues before the dessert, a nice touch! It's overall pretty good, but quite simple for the price. Desserts were the best part. Service is very fast...
