Bistrot du Verger — Restaurant in Chambéry

Was staying at the IBIS Budget in Chambery. There didn't appear to be many options for dinner close by, but I found Bistrot Du Verger.

The place was packed on a Thursday night, and as far as I could tell they were all local, and many were familiar with the staff so I'm guessing many regulars.

I had an antipasto entree followed by Tartare de Boeuf. Couldn't come close to eating the sides (fries and salad) that came with it, and dessert was out of the question.

I thought the food was great, and with a glass of Bordeaux and an espresso it came to 26 euro, which while not cheap, was great...

An unexpected gem. We came here based on a few reviews and left very happy. Delicious menu with wonderful ingredients, and a beautiful sever Anna who was so helpful and helped with the French to English translation. Nice wine list as well. Loved the interior,...

Après une longue journée de trajet, une arrivée dans la ville de Chambéry assez mitigée, nous avons, sur recommandation, réservé une table dans l'établissement.

Au début, assez septique (probablement un vestige de notre arrivée dans cette ville aux abords assez austère) mais après coup une excellente découverte !

Étant assez bon mangeur, j'avais une crainte sur les quantités et peut être un peu sur la qualité mais j'ai été particulièrement surpris sur la qualité des plats proposés et avec de quoi rassasier toute la tablée avec des styles très différents (petit plus pour la tajine à la souris d'agneau)!

Un bistrot dans une ville qui, à priori, ne paie pas de mine mais qui a su faire toute la différence !
