Maison Jean Huttard — Restaurant in Colmar-Ribeauvillé

We were recommended this place, but walked away empty-handed.

The place is a posh looking place, with a very modern interior, but as fancy it might sound, it was unfortunately not the trip's best experience of all the wineries we visited. We were limited on time, and the minimum “menu” they offer is a 5 wine tastings, paid, and it would take an estimated 45 min. Found one wine I would like (without seemed to be an option to taste it) but the waiting time for getting to order was way too long.

If you’re new to wines, I would recommend trying other places close by, to get a more relaxed atmosphere.

Also book a time and don’t expect you to be able to get something fast 😅

Edit: The owner has added a response, and I don't know who they refer to at all. I visited the place on a slow weekday around 15-17 (can't remember the specific time)? There was absolutely no rush, and slots were available to book that day - in the time we visited. We as unfortunately never offered the smaller tasting, but that option is nice to know.

If we get another chance to try this place, we would definitely stop by, and then try again with a booking instead of just...
