La Brasserie Parisienne — Restaurant in Compiègne

Went here for dinner about 1700hrs. The actual inside of the restaurant is quite quirky with a beautiful domed glass stained ceiling.

We sat just inside looking at the world go by. Opted for the set menu, starters, main and dessert. In that menu choice of three plates to chose from for each course. We were not disappointed. We tasty and fresh.

We did notice how long the waiter took to approach us after each course and we had a chuckle about this as from GB we must eaten too fast as we noticed every other person lot lot slower or should I say they may have been savouring they meal and meal time. He was very pleasant actually and that last comment was not a slight on him.

I do have a view on a place toilets too these were spotless and modern. Came to about 61 E with couple of drinks. On paying could not work out how to add tip on machine had to use cash, as we hardly...

Everything was more or less fine (albeit slow and inattentive service) until we discovered an insect in one of our plates. We handed it back and stopped eating although most other plates were finished when the insect was discovered. The waiter accepted to not charge for the affected plate but to our strong surprise, we did not offer any explanation or apology of any sort for the incident, hardly a word just took our plate. Yesterday 08/06/2025 around 21h30 PM we arrived at the brasserie to have a drink, and we we’re waiting at the entrance and then the waiter came, and we asked him for a table for three, so we asked him to sit on a table that needs cleaning, yet he didn’t accept and he started telling us that their is only one table available and their was a lot of other tables available then he left us and didn’t even let us talk, then we left and we sat in an other place.
