Auberge Des Lacs — Restaurant in Confolens

Had a fantastic evening meal at the Auberge Restaurant, this is the exact type of establishment that I love so much about this area of France, unpretentious excellent food served with love and care. The staff make you feel welcome whilst always speaking French (as they should). The menu selection is wide and varied and great value, this is a venue you should definitely visit if you are in the area. We stayed here for a night during a cycle tour to Bordeaux as it is right on Euro Velo 3. The room was spacious, clean and well decorated. We ate in the restaurant and the food was very nice and good value. The storage for bikes is basically in the entrance lobby, which wasn't huge but suited us fine.
