Café de la Gare — Restaurant in Confolens

I have wanted to visit this Restaurant for some months now purely based on the Reviews left by others. Today, I did so today and discovered that the Reviews were correct. What a fabulous place. The Staff were absolutely the Best. The Service was definitely 5-Star. The Food was absolutely Excellent and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere and ambience was Super-Friendly, and as someone else said; "NOTHING" was too much trouble. My invited friends were also enthused by this place and although we all had to travel quite some distance, it was certainly worth the journey. Absolutely wonderful place for a meal. This was an impromptu visit of four people. We were easily accommodated and made to feel very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble! The service, food and drinks were absolutely amazing and quality. Never had such attentive staff anywhere. The steak was so huge it was a slab big enough for two people to share. Seeing is believing for the size of the steak and the thickness too. The creme brulee is recommended - absolutely delicious 😋 We will most definitely be going again. Great...

Most awesome (and huge) Entrecote I ever ate. Was hard to finish because of the size of the portion, but just so awesome I could not bear the thought of not finishing it. We accidentally discovered this place on the way through and he did prepare us lunch even though it was only like 10am :D Super nice owner in general.
