Pom Cannelle — Restaurant in Coutances

I can't understand why this place gets rave reviews. We went as party of 4 after glowing recommendation , very disappointed because menu was overpriced and limited. Imidiatly put off by the bottle of water on the table with price on it. Not free as usually expected in 99.9% of restaurants. Service was painfully slow and what idiot in the kitchen thought it acceptable to serve us individually with 10 mins between each plate being bought out. We like to eat together not sit watching each other eat at staggered intervals. This ended up that the 1st plate was cold before the last of our party had their food. On top of that there was only 1 beer available some disgusting clove / cinnamon flavoured slop. Would we recommend this place....defiantly no. Go to the commerce nearby for a proper Normandy meal. My reply to the owners response. Sir / madam. You obviously have no concept of customer service, I don't even know why you are in the restaurant business as you seem to have totak utter contempt for your customers. I suggest you get a job that you enjoy or at least competant at and leave the fine dining to those that can. You seem to have forgotten that customers hard earned money fund your business. Treat them with the respect they deserve. And put a bad review either down to experience or use it to improve your business over your competitors. Say like the Commerce just a short...

Re "Don't do it" review. This is not the restaurant we know and love. Food is great and good value especially if you have the Plat du Jour. The service is fine. Madame and her waiter are charmant. It's not McDonalds you know! We had a Valentine's Day dinner there and it was exquisite. Maybe in France/Normandy you should be drinking at the very least the local "cidre" rather than beer and it being France, what about the myriad of excellent wines. Don't let that review put you off. Go there and see for yourself!!! Very unfair...

Bien dommage pour ce restaurant, ou le repas est succulent, rien n'a dire. Mais l'attente est insupportable. Cela fait 3 fois que nous venons. La première admettons, la deuxième encore admettons. Mais la non, nous restons en moyenne 2h45 au restaurant et encore😪 Entre Chaques plats 30 à 35 minutes d'attente. Je fais cour, mais embauché Une serveuse, peu aider Vous, êtes seule, à accueillir les clients, répondre au téléphone, s'occuper du bar, prendre les commandes, et service et débarrasser. C'est impossible pour une femme toute seule. Je le redis, le repas est succulent. juste un autre petit souci, ça fait 3 fois que nous venons, donc 1 fois par ans et🤪 toujours le même menu.
