What to say from this place, I don’t even know from where to start…
A reservation was made for a table of two. The place was extremely hard to find, the main entrance was closed and the main parking was quite a walk until the entrance of the hotel, considering it was also raining hard.
The place looks like it had stoped in time, somewhere in the 80’s. Very dark lobby, with this outdated decoration and a very weird smell, I would say some mold and sweat with perfume.
In the restaurant, we were put at a table by the window, however, we could not see through it considering the amount of dirt on it. We were given some sort of tablet, where we could check the drinks and food, no explanation was given and the environment was not pleasant at all.
This lady comes to take our order. Our French was not the best and she refused to speak any other language. I myself speak 5, which she could not adress any. Well, after informing that if the communication would not be possible and she would keep refusing to speak anything else apart of a very fast spoken French we would leave.
Surprisingly she was able to speak some few words in English, which is not my main language either, but I can fluently speak. She informed us the place only had an all you can eat buffet and drinks, which for a glass of wine would be 20 euros (I know… I also laughed when I saw it).
We went quickly to check the buffet… Everything seemed to be there for hours, and I really was not in the mood of getting food poisoned.
I really did not get the point of being given a tablet to choose for food and drinks if it was just an all you can eat sort of place.
After the horrible service, with this extremely rude lady and the disgusting food, we just left.
I love France and I try my best to speak the language, but when you just refuse to speak anything else, refuses to understand anything and just prefer that your client goes somewhere else to keep your ego, it is definitely a no go for me! (Fun fact, the place is inside a hotel!).
On our way back we stopped by a very cute place with an amazing and well prepared food! I really recommend it instead of this horrendous place.
GO TO THE L’AUDACE, it is a few minutes drive. You will be well treated and the food is amazing! The lady could not speak well any other language either, but I spoke my bad French to her, we both understood each other and I had an...
Read moreThe food was good, the staff were excellent. I’ve marked it down due to the director of the casino. We had 4 children with us, they were good but a little noisy being happy and having a good time. The director spoke to us in a bad mannered tone and ruined our whole lunch experience. He also stared at us constantly with bad looks. The mother became stressed, anxious and upset and so we all did. It completely ruined what was supposed to have been a good outing. The children were not naughty just happy We did not know he was the director until I said something to the...
