Le Petit Bûcher — Restaurant in Dieppe

We visited this restaurant based on the good reviews and, admittedly, it looks really nice inside. Unfortunately, our experience with the food did not match the ambiance. We ordered the fish and chips Normand, expecting a delightful meal for 19€, but it turned out to be a terrible disappointment—the worst fish and chips we've ever had.

The fish portion was very small and filled with fishbones, which I didn't expect. I even accidentally swallowed one. The crust was tasteless and not crispy at all. As for the chips, they were wobbly and dripping with fat. My stomach thanked me for eating only a few of them.

Dieses kleine Restaurant, das etwas abseits der vorderen Reihe liegt, wurde uns von unserer Vermieterin wärmstens empfohlen. Und zu Recht, denn das Essen war wirklich großartig und der Service war auch sehr nett. Was unsere Laune an diesem Abend jedoch ziemlich trübte war, dass es wirklich SEHR kühl dort war. Auch wenn es der erste offene Abend nach einer Auszeit war, wäre es sicherlich ratsam gewesen, die Heizung wenigstens zu Anfang anzustellen. Diese war jedoch komplett kalt. (Wenn die Heizung nicht eingeschaltet ist, nützt es leider nichts, dass sie neu ist. 21 Grad waren es leider definitiv nicht und ein weiterer Gast, der auch in unserer Unterkunft übernachtete, bestätigte uns, dass auch seine Frau und er gefroren hätten.) J'ai visité avec mon amie d'enfance beaucoup de restaurants du Tréport et alentours. Le Petit Bûcher est sans doute le meilleur que ce soit pour la cuisine, l'accueil et l'ambiance cosy. Équipe réduite, monsieur excellent cuisinier et madame au service. Carte courte bien étudiée, cuisine maison, produits frais, de saison et locaux de qualité. Une vingtaine de couverts seulement. Excellent rapport qualité prix. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la terrine de foie de lotte en entrée, un régal original. Nous avons beaucoup échangé en fin de service, couple très sympathique qui cherche la satisfaction du client. Si vous voulez manger des moules frites hors saison, allez sur le bord du port avec les touristes... Je devrais garder cette pépite secrète pour éviter l'invasion, mais je tenais à féliciter Le Petit Bûcher. Un vrai coup...
