Le Grillon — Restaurant in Draguignan

My husband and I went for lunch to the Nouveau Grillon in Lorgues last Friday 05th August. It is one of our treat now....delicious food cooked by a clever chef and his team...... New menu everyday. We had " filets of rougets with potatoes and mixed vegetables and Tiramissu".. For 19 Euros you get a main dish, a dessert and a glass of wine ....very good value for money....you can eat on the terrasse or if It is a bit too hot in the air conditioned restaurant. Nothing is too much to ask from the very pleasant staff.....young girlsl and men ....always welcoming and smiling..

Dinner a la cartel in the evening is very good too or you could just go for aperitif with friends ( very french) ...a glass or two of rose de Berne with a planche of cold meats and cheeses..

And one more thing .in the morning,...breakfast on the terrasse...French way with croissants or English way with eggs ....etc..

So much more to say about this lovely place but ....the best is...COME AND TRY IT....AND YOU WILL...

This was the worst experience i had in a restaurant. When i asked (in french) if it was possible to get a vegetarian variation on the children's menu, the waiter simply said "non". So, my kids just got some salad and fries. There was truffle pinsa which tasted ok, although it was served cold, but of course that's not something for kids. It took ages to get the staff's attention to order a drink. And when ordering desserts, the staff just passed by the vegetarian side of the table, i had to try my best to at least get my kids s nice dessert. One person ordered fish as a main and only got it when the rest got their desserts. For a while the music was some kind of house music, although it wasn't loud enough to be really annoying. Were do I start absolutely amazing place i also don't speak a word of French and in France your getting nowhere like this but grillon had English speaking staff made me so relaxed that I was there every morning.... now the coffee and pastry wow wow wow and I've been all over the world it's got to be my best by far .... I ate 1 meal there in the evening and wasn't disappointed it was 1st class with bomb of flavours thank u all for amazing warm welcome I will be coming back very soon highly recommended 😊 Miss Hoyte is missing my morning...
