Brasserie La Maison dunkerque — Restaurant in Dunkirk

AWFUL - took my veteran father to Dunkirk & to this so called restaurant for a meal, he had a hair on his veal chop, considering he is bald it didn’t come from him! When we raised it the manager started stomping around didn’t speak to us or apologise as a good manager/owner should, the waitress offered to cook another but my father couldn’t eat one after that. If any of them spoke English we would’ve refused to pay the full bill that we still received, with the meal not taken off. The manager/owner guy was shocking, stomping around chest puffed out staring at us & talking out loud to himself in French, like we’d put it there or something, Gordon Ramsey needs to go here it’s a kitchen nightmare! Ayant eu l'occasion de refaire un cours séjour à Dunkerque, j'ai eu l'opportunité de pousser la porte de cet établissement. Même si le cadre reste sobre, l'accueil de la serveuse fut très chaleureux. Le patron étant également en salle, l'ambiance en est des plus conviviale. Ma première visite (grâce à une publication sur Facebook) a été prometteuse ; un camembert au four bien fondant, une délicieuse Blanquette de Veau suivi d'un café gourmand. Voulant assouvir ma curiosité et goûter au reste de la carte, j'ai eu l'occasion d'y retourner une seconde fois. Étant à la mer, je me devais de goûter au poissons: j'ai pu avoir une belle aile de raie au beurre blond et câpres. Et lors de ma troisième visite, j'ai goûté le gratin de poulet au maroilles : et le chef n'a pas hésité d'en mettre. Gouttu et goûteux. C'était parfait. Lors de 2 occasions, heureusement que j'avais réservé, donc je conseille de téléphoner au par avant.
