I strongly recommend arriving here by 6:30 to secure the best spot closest to the beach. You’ll be able to enjoy a stunning sunset view, and you won’t regret it.
To help you focus on the beautiful scenery, I’ll minimize the stress of choosing a menu. For the entrée, it’s best to keep it simple with intuitive options. I suggest going for safe choices like spicy tuna tartare or carpaccio.
For the main course, if you like French cuisine, consider dishes like veal rump or steak. If you prefer something more American, you can choose pizza or burgers. However, I encourage you to think twice about ordering American dishes while you’re in Bora Bora.
One downside of the main dishes is that they can be overcooked, so it’s a good idea to request them to be cooked a bit less. The lagoon fish dish was quite delicious, though the cooking level of the fish could have been better.
Desserts are hard to get wrong, but I’d like to recommend something special. There’s a dish called Poe Banana, which is a warm dessert made of chewy banana-flavored gnocchi like texture with coconut sauce. It was my favorite dish during my stay at the InterContinental, and I highly recommend it - only at Sands!
When you enjoy this dessert, please pair it with vanilla ice cream. The combination of the warm, soft banana and the sweet vanilla ice cream creates an incredible flavor experience. If I were to suggest a recommendation to the chef, adding torched sugar on top like in a banana brûlée could provide a crispy texture that would enhance the...
Read moreTerrible service ever! The staffs are not attentive at all, seemed like even not interested in taking orders! (Verrrry slow if you don't call someone and the waitress forgot to bring us the second beer:( )The waitress never asked us the experience or feeling about the food or venue. She just looked too tired to manage her job. Of course I don't mean that every employee needs to be looked happy but at least she made everyone in the restaurant felt down. Can't say that it was easy to share our plates with flies which hadn't experienced at the other resort... We even had to move our table and chairs by ourselfves while eating to hide from sunshine and 2 staffs were watching us but nobody helped us, can't believe that this is 5 stars...
Read moreIt's a better menu in our opinion than Reef, plus you get to eat on the beach at sunset, so it's really hard to beat. We ate here every night during our stay and if we were still there, we'd do the same.
The tuna and ceviche were the best... Mahi Mahi too. On prime rib night they gave us what must have been 3lb steaks. They were effectively giant tomahawk steaks, but for 1 person. Cooked to perfection and well-seasoned.
Overall our favorite restaurant at the resort with the best menu AND the view. If you want to eat on the beachfront at sunset make sure to make a 6:30...
