La Dégust’ — Restaurant in Gex

Went here for the first time since it changed name. Very nice relaxed atmosphere, really laid back with plenty of space. Staff were excellent. Food was surprisingly good, had the vegetarian plate and it was delicious. The burger looked great too with really nice roasted new potatoes rather than chips which was a nice touch (I stole quite a few).

Food prices I thought were very reasonable (about 11 to 15 euros for a main) and the wine list, while having quite some expensive options also had a some more modest ones. I believe the best wine bar in the area. Not so big, but not many tables and not so crowded. There are coaches and tall tables. There is a huge variety in bottles but we preferred the glasses to taste different varieties. Prices are good for both wine and food.
