The products are ok, but the way this boulangerie is organized makes you wish you have never entered the store in the first place. There is no logic at all. There are four employees and four different areas (one for cakes and sweets, another for bread, another for pizzas, and another for sandwiches. Logic says that each one of these employees would be responsible for each section. However, that is not the case. You enter the store, and you immediately face a long line of people waiting for their request to be attended to. You stay in line without being able to see their products. You move with the line. If you are near the pizzas sector but you request a cake, you need to go back to the cakes section and select the product you wish to buy, asking the other people that are in the line to step aside so you can see the products. Then they give you what you choose, and you need to go to the line again and discuss with other clients because you are not skipping the line; you have to follow the employee back to the first section of the store to explain your request. If there is any metaphor to explain French bureaucracy and lack of organization and logic, just try this...

Que du négatif pour cette boutique très mal agencée où les clients attendent à la queue leu leu sans voir les articles proposés devant et sans pouvoir revenir en arrière. Mais ce n'est pas le pire... L'accueil, le service sont déplorables. Jeudi 16 Mai dernier aux environs de 14h30 je décide d'aller acheter un pain aux graines ancestrales. Pain qui est fort bon d'ailleurs. La porte principale du magasin est fermée (tout petit panneau posé sur la vitrine, la plupart des clients mettent un certain temps à le voir), obligation donc de rentrer par le magasin Grand Frais. Devant moi 10 personnes, deux vendeuses présentes. La seconde ne trouve rien de mieux que de remettre "tranquilou" par deux fois des tartes en rayon (rayon qui n'est pas vide -cela aurait pû attendre-) au lieu de servir les gens. Arrive enfin mon tour : pas de bonjour de la part de la vendeuse qui "tire" la tête. Je lui demande mon pain et compte prendre aussi deux viennoiseries, je n'en ai pas le temps, la vendeuse m'annonce le prix du pain sans un "s'il vous plaît" sans un sourire et surtout elle ne me demande pas si je souhaite autre chose (ce qui est tout de même la base lorsqu'on est une bonne vendeuse). Elle est tellement désagréable que finalement l'envie de viennoiserie me passe... Je paye et je m'en vais sans un "merci", sans un "bonne journée" de la part de cette personne décidément bien antipathique. Ce comportement est lamentable et inadmissible, si on n'aime pas le contact on change de métier. Vendre demande du professionnalisme, de la politesse et le sourire. Malheureusement ce n'est pas la première fois que je constate une telle attitude dans cette boutique de la part de la plupart des employés. Excellent bread but it seems that they only hire incompetent people to work the front part of the store. Service is absolutely terrible, the queue is always long and slow and the place is always stressful and chaotic. It is not really normal for a bakery in France to be so poorly organised given the importance of bread in French culture and usually, bakeries are very well organised and efficient.
