Heaven — Restaurant in Grasse

First time to eat here. It was a working lunch with an habitué who recommended the restaurant. Sitting in the covered garden area was very pleasant despite the heavy heat of the road beyond the cloth-like walls owing to the clever design of the walls and ceiling that allowed excellent airflow while offering protecting from the direct sun and noise from the nearby road. Service was quietly efficient. Prices were very appropriate. My grilled octopus was prepared almost to perfection (cooking a few seconds less would have achieved that difficult pinnacle) but was delicious all the same. My colleague had an excellent salad. Definitely a place to visit again. The interior of the restaurant (with the bar) was air-conditioned and might have been preferable on a day with a little less breeze and higher temperatures, but today the 'garden' area was perfect for us, with sufficient spacing between tables to allow our business-oriented discussion to talk place with any concerns. Wir hatten das große Vergnügen, ein Restaurant zu besuchen, das in jeder Hinsicht überzeugt. Der Fokus auf hausgemachte Speisen ist beeindruckend – von den Saucen über die Vorspeisen bis hin zu den köstlichen Kuchen zum Dessert. Alles schmeckt frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet.

Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Familienfreundlichkeit dieses Ladens. Unsere Kinder (5 und 6 Jahre alt) bekamen eine große Portion Fish and Chips, die der Besitzer von sich aus auf zwei Teller aufgeteilt hat – eine durchdachte und wirklich sympathische Geste. Das Ergebnis? Zum ersten Mal wurde tatsächlich alles, was auf dem Tisch stand, aufgegessen – eine perfekte Balance aus Portionsgröße und Geschmack!

Das Ambiente ist angenehm und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Die Preise sind absolut erschwinglich: Wir haben zu viert inklusive Nachtisch und Getränken nur 79,50 € bezahlt – also rund 20 € pro Kopf. Für die Qualität des Essens und den exzellenten Service ist das mehr als fair.

Die Besitzer und das gesamte Team sind herzlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Kundenwünsche werden zu 100 % berücksichtigt, und das Mitdenken des Personals hat unseren Abend besonders gemacht.

Neben klassischer Küche gibt es auch Einflüsse der französischen Küche sowie authentische alkoholische Getränke. Kein Wunder, dass das Restaurant ab 19:00 Uhr richtig voll war – wir waren früh da, und trotzdem war die Stimmung fantastisch.

Fazit: Wer einen Ort sucht, an dem man zu einem fairen Preis großartig essen und sich rundum wohlfühlen kann, ist hier genau richtig. Leider sind wir nur auf der Durchreise, aber wir kommen definitiv wieder, wenn wir in...

6 of us came to eat during mid-week evening and found the food excellent!.. The host Jim was so friendly and welcoming as was his staff. Particularly excellent was the amazing Poke bowl - quite a hard dish to do well and indeed they did!!! We are chefs so we really would know... my peach salad was gorgeous too - thanks team- recommend to other diners if you're thinking of going.... the cocktails were...
