We went to Bistro du Clos after reading many positive reviews but unfortunately we were rather disappointed.

The terrace is beautiful and food arrived quickly, but that was just about it.

You get a free semi-starter from the house; spicy meat and toast. As a vegetarian myself this wasn't really something I could enjoy. It's great that you offer something for free, but try making it accessible for all your customers. Small change, big impact.

Our starters were mozzarella with pesto and vitello tonnato. Both tasted fine, but knowing the bistro is part of the Michelin star restaurant Du Clos, it was a bit of a let down. Far too little mozzarella for the amount of tomatoes with no care for plating.

The main course was the pasta pesto and duck. We asked for medium/pink for the duck, but got an overly well done piece of meat. The fried polenta lacked attention and love from the chefs. And the pasta pesto was fine in flavour, but yet again nothing special.

I imagine this food is just fine for the masses, like families and those who enjoy simple food. We however had high expectations due to the restaurant Du Clos being of the same owners. It's a shame to see the lack of passion reflect in the food.

Staff was friendly, but too busy to even get their attention. We weren't even able to order a bottle of water until they brought our starters. We noticed the same problem at...

Super Essen, tolle Atmosphäre und unschlagbares Preis /Leistungsverhältnis ... Seit Jahren ein Hit! Immer wieder gerne.

Update 29.10.2022: wieder einmal vor Ort! Kueche top!

Alles in allem sehr enttäuschend.

Fantastic! I live nearby and passed the place a lot, always meaning to go in. Finally I did and fully regret the delay. I met some friends on a Wednesday night and enjoyed the food and ambiance so much, I'd booked for Friday night before I left that night. The bistro is bright and modern in decor and the kitchen is visible to all. Starters on the 1st night were globe artichoke and the ricotta special. Our mains were Orecchiette, a pork special and for me, the steak. Seasonal produce at its best. All were fantastic, so good in fact, that I repeated my artichoke and steak dinner on the Friday night. This will be our regular haunt from now on. Highly...

First of all Michelin 2018! Which gives you certain expectations. We had the menu! It started out well! The mushroom with Parmesan was excellent. The main dish was a disappointment. Not what we expected as potato fondant but just boiled potatoes. The meat was cooked very well - however we felt the meat for more for a soup - we expected a veal steak and not a piece of meet with a big layer of fat. The dessert was okay. Both the apple crumble and the Mille Feuille. Not extraordinary. The starter was really the best dish for us. They have. Children’s menu for a good price 11 eur. And that was good!
