Le Montparnasse — Restaurant in Grasse

Fantastically situated right in the afternoon sun. Unfortunately that is as good as it gets. Slow service from a moody waitress. Waited 45 minutes for a salad and a burger. When we asked how long it would be the waitress waved us off and said don’t worry it’s coming. When it arrived the burger was cold, the goats cheese in the salad was of average quality and had been breadcrumbed and deep fried so when it arrived cold it had become greasy and disgusting. Extremely rude staff, the timings written on google maps are wrong and they are absolutely in no mood to accommodate or apologise for it even. Despite us telling that we came from afar just to eat there as we saw it on the Maps, their best response was shrugging 😂 Typical French attitude, like a smile or a simple “sorry” won’t hurt you, promise - don’t go into service industry if you don’t like to give service, it’s ridiculous

Great place for a quick lunch on the Place Bermon in Haut Sartoux. Good, sensible food, appropriately priced; attentive and friendly service. Well worth a visit. Tends to be busy around 12:00 midday, after 13:00 things Quienten down most days. Parking nearby may be an issue. We found a place up near the bus station, but it can be a little...
