Le Bistrot Qui Coz — Restaurant in Guingamp

This was a really unexpected find in a small (not very touristy town). The food was definitely of a step up from your typical grill type restaurant. I had veal which was cooked to perfection for me. My husband had the cod. Both dishes were on the specials board. Both were accompanied by a selection of perfectly cooked veg. The portions were just right. We had one starter and one dessert to share. Both a bit out of the ordinary and perfectly flavoursome. You just knew that the chef had a passion for food and went that little bit extra. In spite of the top quality the price was very much the same as other restaurants in the area. It's worth a detour...

This is the best restaurant in Brittany I have been to. Visited for lunch and evenings and always busy so book. You definitely won't be disappointed! The plate of the day is a little dearer than most but the food quality and presentation is amazing, well worth a couple of extra euros. The staff are all friendly and even when busy the service seemed pretty quick. Modern interior makes it a perfect place for a special occasion. My compliments to the chef as the presentation and quality of food is excellent with everything I've eaten. Will be back very soon......

Cadre agéable avec une jolie terrasse. Bon accueil. Endroit très fréquenté un peu bruyant (pas beaucoup d'autres alternatives aux alentours) Service rapide. Côté menus au choix : entrée + plat + dessert ou bien menu avec plat entrée ou dessert. Choix assez restreint avec possibilité de choisir entre 2 entrées, 2 plats et 2 desserts. Portions congrues .Un peu plus de choix à la carte. Côté saveurs je n'ai pas réussi à trouver un l'équilibre entre tous les ingrédients qui composaient mon plat : Aiguillette de poulet, crême tomate, thym/citron/ semoule aux épices et poivrons confits...Trop de saveurs tuent les saveurs. La crême à la tomate, citron ? ( mélange hasardeux).. Aiguillettes un peu sèches. En ce qui concerne l'entrée : Gaspacho de melon, pastèque et menthe. C'est rafraichissant, surtout, quand il fait très chaud, mais on s'en lasse vite, on a du mal à aller au bout. Salle et toilettes propres. Immense parking en face du restaurant avec beaucoup de place pour se garer, même en camping car. Pas beaucoup d'ombre. Restaurant situé au centre ville , pas loin de l'égilise, facile à trouver ( mais Rostrenen; ce n'est pas très grand ) 2 étoiles, donc..À choisir, pour le même prix, je préfère un...
