The people here are friendly, the rooms clean and well appointed. It is soooooo convenient to park in the attached car park, a reasonably priced hotel on our visits north and south through France. The city is a great place to walk around after a day in the car, lots of good restaurants, lovely old buildings and a park by the river. Good breakfast to start our next step of the journey and a place we come back...

Read moreWe think of trying other hotels but Hotel de la Gare is reasonably priced, friendly, good breakfast, accommodating staff who heat up soya milk for a great coffee and the croissants are excellent. The rooms are tasteful, spacious, quiet if you are not right on the main road - they just have everything you want for an overnight stay - oh and you feel the car is safe in the car park which if it is fully packed...
