So we arrived at "la Maison" from the GR34, after hitting a dead end in a swamp, and we were literally mud up to the knees. As we passed the door we discovered this sweet and elegant nest that feels more like a 4 or at least 3 stars hotel than the 2 rated . Our though: oh my gosh we are going to ruin there place should we really enter? Well.. We were warmly welcome as any regular customer, not a stare or a comment and in my experience such professionalism is pretty rare in France. This "lieu" is run by two kind gentlemen and there Maison and is kind of an odd one out as you don't expect to find a little gem like this "here". It only makes me regret not to have known before hand and tried there restaurant. I would advise you to take your breakfast there as it's fairly priced and generous. As far as the room are concerned, they are less sophisticated than the lobby more in ad-equation with the 2* rating of the hotel, i.e fair with a light touch of originality and taste in there decoration. La Maison double as a wine bar, they also offer a few cocktails, Should I be picky, I would say that they should step up there game on the cocktail side to be more on pair with the rest. Merci. Dog welcome / and there own dog is...
Read moreWe stayed in La Maison for four days. Margit had been there two years ago.She was very happy with it, and then decided she should come back some time. She was not disappointed. The old house is beautifully kept with style and enthusiasm. Rooms are very nicely furnished and decorated according to their city names. We stayed in Auckland and pictures and every small item in the room were Kiwi/NZ. The reception was very warm and also professional. The hosts kept a nice balance between distance and intrusion. There were nice rooms for coffee and dining. No TV there , which we liked. The two beagles were friendly and cute.| The breakfast and dinner are on a high level.|Everything everywhere was very tidy and clean. |Well done to be this professional in a...

We dinned in the restaurant, meals were 5 star and ive eaten in many world class restaurant, great value and excellent recommendation on the wine Julian. Ths really is class.
We loved the Begals wondering around so sweet. Only down was a family of five in the lounge making to much fuss about the Bagael babies and rude tongue to the hosts.
Keep up the good work and we hope to see you again soon. Bought the boat so you will be seeing more of us.
