Chez Sissy — Restaurant in Le Marin

Chez Syssy (their sign has a “y” in the middle, not an “I”) is a gem that perfectly complements the stunning Plage des Salines. While this spot might rate about 3.5 stars if it were in town, its beachfront setting and relaxed vibe elevate it to a well-deserved 5 stars in my book.

The service is friendly, even when things get busy, and the food quality is impressive. We particularly enjoyed the coconut rice (riz du coco), which was fragrant and satisfying. We also tried the boudin créole—an interesting dish that seems to cater to more adventurous palates. It might be an acquired taste, but it was well-prepared nonetheless.

What makes this experience truly special is the location. Having visited hundreds of beaches worldwide, I can confidently say that Plage des Salines is among the top 10 for its soft sand, calm waters, and stunning azure hues. Chez Syssy’s proximity to this paradise makes it an excellent choice for a relaxed meal or snack.

Un petit resto sans prétention mais avec un rapport qualité prix imbattable👍 Nous avons bien mangé : les accras sont bons surtout la sauce qui les accompagne, poulet coco frites fait le job (comme certains le disent, les frites ne sont pas maison mais j'ai vu des resto bcp plus cher avec les mêmes frites), pareil pour les crevettes de brochettes très bonnes👍 Début de saison donc pas de flan coco mais la dame des glaces est présente sur la plage... Le ti punch en dessert, c'est très bien aussi 😁 Service rapide avec le sourire et l'humour avec un fond de musique agréable.
