Trip Advisor told us that this would be the best restaurant in the vecinity. The are not quite right (because Pura Vida is) I'm afraid. But close they are. I really want this restaurant to be really good since the gentleman taking lead in the service knows what he is doing. Friendly and professional he really pulls it off. I'm sad to say that the kitchen does not quite follow his lead. The Creole XXL Tapas is as un-sexy as it's name, looking like a heap of different shades of brown. The risotto was overcoocked but had the flavours in all the right places. My GF was pleased with "the catch of the day" wich was Dorade. Maybe a bit plain on the palate but nice presentation. They are close to "really good" but need tweaking. I would recomend this place because the standard is a bit higher than avarage on the south side of the island.

♡Anglais/English This was an amazing restaurant. The staff was so kind and patient, the restaurant was so clean and neat, and the food was just absolutely delicious. I definitely recommend this venue. We even used the pool, which was a plus. Wished I could of given it more stars The food 😋 😍 ‱We had the dish of the day, which was lamb. It was well done, delicate. Served with a Red wine ‱It was a fish appetiser, perfection. The crunch was to die for ‱we had the chocolate "gateau"and icecream with whip cream and a crumble. "My husband asked for this special, it's not on the menu" Congratulations to the chef ♡Français C'Ă©tait un restaurant incroyable. Le personnel Ă©tait trĂšs gentil et patient, le restaurant Ă©tait trĂšs propre et soignĂ©, et la nourriture Ă©tait absolument dĂ©licieuse. Je recommande vraiment ce lieu. Nous avons mĂȘme utilisĂ© la piscine, ce qui Ă©tait un plus. J'aurais aimĂ© pouvoir lui donner plus d'Ă©toiles La nourriture 😋 😍 ‱ Nous avons eu le plat du jour, qui Ă©tait de l'agneau. Alors que tout le monde a rĂ©servĂ© donc on anticipe un minimum avant Musique tellement trop forte, impossible de discuter Ă  notre propre table QualitĂ© des repas trĂšs trĂšs mĂ©diocre, tout pour faire du business EntrĂ©e saumon: gras, pas raffinĂ©, roquette posĂ©e dans l’assiette sans assaisonnement, zĂ©ro effort’ Plat: risotto st Jacques: noix bien cuites, risotto fade sans trop de goĂ»t Dessert: la plus grosse blague, quand on commande un cookie « revisité » Ă  135€ le menu, on ne s’attend pas du tout Ă  un cookie juste COUPÉ EN DEUX, qui plus est sĂ»rement achetĂ© au carrefour voisin (????) encore moins d’effort Pain: fade, achetĂ© carrefour premier prix rĂ©chauffĂ© au micro onde, abandon du respect Conclusion : trĂšs déçu du Kanawa, pour 150€/personne on fait des EFFORTS. Que ce soit sur la qualitĂ© et l’organisation du service Ă  anticiper en amont. Vu la qualitĂ© premier prix payĂ©e, tout pour le business et c’est dommage nous allons devoir dĂ©conseiller ce restaurant sur nos diffĂ©rents rĂ©seaux sociaux.

Quand on ne sait pas faire, il ne faut pas essayer


Nous avions rĂ©servĂ© une table Ă  la suite des trĂšs bon avis publiĂ©s. Nous tenons Ă  prĂ©ciser que l’attente fut extrĂȘmement longue entre chaque service, que ce soit pour la prise des commandes et la rĂ©ception des plats tout au long de la soirĂ©e alors que la salle Ă©tait vide. Il ne faut pas mourir de faim
 En arrivant, le cadre et la carte laissent prĂ©sager une belle soirĂ©e car ils tĂ©moignent d’un bel effort de conception. Les cocktails sont totalement fades et diluĂ©s. MalgrĂ© un renvoi de certains cocktails, les nouveaux sont tout aussi insipides. Nous avions pris un tartare qui Ă©tait annoncĂ© comme du thon, mais quelle ne fut pas notre surprise quand nous avons goĂ»tĂ© et qu’il s’agissait en fait de poisson blanc. De surcroit, celui-ci manquait cruellement d’assaisonnement. En revanche, les ravioles de langoustes Ă©taient bonnes mais pas Ă  la hauteur de celles servies dans d’autres Ă©tablissements sur l’üle pour le mĂȘme prix. Les bonbons de cochons Ă©taient satisfaisants mais pas transcendants.

Pour les plats, nous avons pris : Tataki de thon qui n’est finalement qu’un mi-cuit de thon pas tranchĂ©. Il manquait le crumble de pistache et les accompagnements n’étaient que des crĂšmes/sauces/purĂ©es. Assez dommage, ça manquait de texture Poire de bƓuf : le bƓuf Ă©tait bien cuit, la sauce au poivre Ă©tait bonne mais l’accompagnement ne correspondait pas Ă  l’intitulĂ© du plat. Les champignons et la purĂ©e Ă©taient immangeables, on pourrait croire qu’ils avaient Ă©tĂ© trempĂ©s dans le vinaigre. Travers de porc : le cochon Ă©tait dĂ©licieux, trĂšs tendre. J’étais censĂ©e avoir une salade de lĂ©gumes croquants Ă  la japonaise, j’ai eu Ă  la place un gratin de bananes plantains sans que cela ne soit prĂ©cisĂ© Ă  la prise de commande.

AprĂšs les plats, nous voulions prendre des desserts mais le temps d’attente nous a coupĂ© l’appĂ©tit. Lorsqu’on a remontĂ© les avis au moment de payer au personnel, nous avons Ă©tĂ© frappĂ©s par leur indiffĂ©rence. Pour conclure, au vu du rapport qualitĂ© prix, ce restaurant est...

We made a last min decision to go here and almost didn't make it because the signs mislead us. I think they were aware of the problem with the sign and hopefully it will be fixed by the time you are reading this review.

The food and drinks were both very good. Our dish was a little heavy on the carbs and meat and light on the vegetables, which is fine for some people and not so much for others - that's up to you. Everything did taste good and although my wife and I would have been happier to have a good side of something green with our meal, I still have to rate this restaurant highly as the food was cooked well and...
