Simply put, one of the best places to eat in Les Sables d'Olonne and along the coast! Type of cuisine: gastronomique with french cuisine/elements in mind. PROS: Quality of the food: top notch, fresh of the day (fish/seafood from the morning's catch and bread too), french produce from the area as well. Service: attentive, cheerful, agreeable, nice, and will give advice and details on the dishes. The menus and most of the dishes change and/or rotate during the year depending on the seasonal products available. Not overly sweet nor salty so one can really enjoy those fresh elements (but salt can be added if needed after). CONS: Desserts sometimes have felt not up to the level as the other dishes. But I am nitpicking here to be honest because for example today we had an incredible tiramisu-like dessert and a strawberry experience (an absolute must with the strawberry season now)! The price maybe, but not really for this quality and especially located in Les Sables d'Olonne (everything is more expensive): but to have an idea, the chef menu is over 50⏠(quite worth it), but the weekly lunch will be over 20⏠for example, so it depends on what you choose. Small place so ALWAYS reserve in advance (even 1 week at least during high season).

   Read moreLŽacceuil et le personnel sont top! Pour lŽambiance, beucoup de personnes agées lors de notre passage, le restaurant nŽest pas bien grand mais suffisament confortable. Pour la cuisine, je vais commenter le menu du chef et me permet de vous mettre en garde, car cette cuisine nŽest pas adaptée a tout le monde. Ceraint pourrons aimer dŽautre non, malheurement ce nŽétait pas lŽextase pour moi.
Pour lŽentrée, les langoutines et le fois gras nŽetaient pas misent a lŽhonneur pour moi. Langoutines un peu sableuses et peu charnues (cŽest le risque de les décortiquer pour les servir je pense) et le fois gras nŽa pas une consitance idéale, il est mou. Les emulsions dŽoignon sont simpa mais nŽapportent pas grand choses mais jŽai apprécié le sorbet betterave (ce nŽétais pas le cas de ma femme). Bref trop de choses dans lŽassiette a mon goût.
Les plat impeccables, surtout la lotte, succulente!
Le dessert Gariguettes, ganache chocolat blanc aux petits pois, mousse vanille et sorbet roquette. Pas terrible, pareil que lÂŽentrĂ©e, quelque chose de plus simple et moins destructurĂ© aurait Ă©tĂ© bien mieux pour nous. On regrette ce choix, surtout pour la glace a la roquette...cÂŽest dur pour moi de finir la dessus (mĂȘme en melangeant).
Pour les boissons, les jus de fruit enfant a presque 8⏠cÂŽest un peu chĂšr (meme sÂŽils sont sĂ»rement trĂšs bons) et le vin blanc carrafĂ© Ă 30⏠le demi littre cÂŽest aussi un peu chĂšr mĂȘme si il convenait trĂšs bien.
