This is such a lovely place, a real gem in Sable d'olonne.

++Staff is very nice and helpful, even when it's very busy they won't rush you and are more than willing to explain the menu. We had a table outside and when the wind picked up they brought blankets out to keep warm. It was not a problem for our waitress to speak English and she did great.

++ Food is absolutely top class, we've had some unusual combinations of flavours and it worked out great. This is what I expect when you go to a restaurant, the chef is not afraid to try new things and it really pays of. Especially the menu has some brilliant dishes (the Pave de tuna is a must try!)

As tourists, I saw the high notes from google for this restaurant. I ordered a salad with tuna. When I started to taste the tuna is not as I imagined, it is brown color, creamy and taste strange like inside part of the fish. I requested to the manager he told me it is ´rillettes de thon’ I never ever taste rillettes thon with this texture and taste, he help me throw away the rillettes then I taste the potatoes, they are even not well cooked, I use the fork even need to press strongly to get the potatoes. We spend 65€ for disgusting dishes. At the end, the manager really proud to said they never got any bad comments or complaints before. How arrogant it is! Hope this restaurant...

Quelle malchance… nous connaissions le restaurant avant …. Avec un excellent rapport qualité prix…. Et là .. oups … changement de propriétaire… catastrophique….😡😡 Menu du week-end samedi 12 juillet le soir après réservation…. Il ne reste qu’une seule entrée.. poivrons farcis froids avec bof .. les huîtres rayées.. ensuite le plat ballottine de poisson purée de carottes (les carottes ne coûtes pas chères) et en viande onglet…. Dessert un seul pas de choix possible…. Tout cela pour un menu à près de 30 € … donc on regarde la carte … on est deux …. Moi rien ne me tente mais bon … j’opte pour des coquillages (palourdes, coques … inexistantes) soit dit en passant avec une sauce beurre d’ail …. Les palourdes hyper écœurantes qui baignaient dans du gras…. Pour mon mari l’entrée toujours à la carte est une fumisterie… le plat de poulpe très gras donc écœurant…. Desserts toujours à la carte… un Blanc manger et pour moi des abricots rôtis (froids) sur soi dit en passant un sablé oups un sablé en cuisine est un sablé et non des gâteaux écrasés… ah j’ai oublié l’apéritif deux planteurs … alors le planteur ou plutôt un cocktail très sucré et où est le rhum… ne pas donner le nom d’un planteur à un apéritif qui n’en est pas un …. Pour accompagné dignement cet excellent repas …vin blanc de Mareuil… cher et pas assez frais… tout cela pour une addition très salée de 107 € et les centimes… pour deux… il ne fallait surtout pas demander au moment de régler cette addition plus que salée comment nous avions trouver le repas UNE SEULE ET UNIQUE RÉPONSE …. DE………..SSE…😡😡 addition encaissée par le nouveau patron sans aucun geste commercial…. N’est pas restaurateur.qui veut Et qui ne sert pas en salle…. Bien sûr à vous de juger par vous même cet excellent endroit qui n’en est plus un … rien à voir avec avant….
