I really enjoyed my lunch here. Beautiful restaurant, pretty and tasty food, and great service. Dining with a view of the vineyard is so nice. I like the wine list on the iPads, so user friendly. The amuse bouche was a fresh and light bulgur salad with a cube of sturgeon. The bread on the table was so good. Great crispy crust and the wheat roll has great flavor. For starters I had the butternut squash soup (tiny but so tasty) and husband went with the mushroom soup. Both were nice and hot and full of flavor. I loved my poached egg with ham and truffle hollandaise. The egg was perfectly poached which always makes me happy. The amount of truffle was right, just a hint of flavor. It was a rich and decadent lunch for me. For dessert I went with the assortment of desserts. There were so good and the other two were okay. Service was perfect. The wines we had with lunch were both delicious and paired nicely with our meals. A very enjoyable lunch while visiting St Emillion.

We had lunch at this restaurant just post COVID lockdown, so the tables were a little more spaced out and you had to wear a mask to and from your table. We ordered from the lunch set menu and had 5 glasses of different wines between us. The food was nice, but not outstanding, which was ok for the price. The staff were ok, they could have been a little more attentive and friendly but they weren’t rude and if I needed something I didn’t have to wait long to catch their eye. I would have expected them to show a little more passion for the wines we were drinking, they couldn’t recommend any or tell us much about any of them (at least the two waitresses we had, I couldn’t say that’s true for all) The view is brilliant, so I would recommended requesting a window table, and you can bring your dog which turned my review from three to four stars.

3.5? The atmosphere was amazing but the food was ok+. Had a table in the evening and the sun set. We went for the menu with the recommended wines. We got a aperitif - smoked duck but were never asked if we wanted a glass for the aperitif. First we were served the wrong wine but our waitress saw that and fixed it. The starter was a bit too big. The Tuna was a bit too well cooked and one of our tunas had taste of too much fish (the bad one). The dessert was probably the best of the 3 dishes. One of our waitresses smelled very bad and should have put on a new shirt. They have a big wine list, but I would say the wines are pretty expensive.

The food is delicious, but the management and service is the worst restaurant I have ever encountered. We are a Taiwanese group of 22 people, we have been treated very unfairly, very rudely and discriminatory against the group.

First of all, if your restaurant doesn't like to accept groups, then just refuse to accept group guests, we don't have to eat at your restaurant. But since you have received group guests, please show the service attitude you should have, not differential treatment.

There are 17 6-seater tables at the scene, and we are arranged as 4 6-seater tables in the middle of the restaurant. All 17 tables, tableware, wine glasses, and bread are neatly arranged, waiting for the arrival of guests, but we are the only table (4 6-aeater tables, 22 people) without any bread basket on the table.

The group leader responded twice, but did not get an immediate response. When the cold soup was on the table, the waiter still didn’t serve us the bread.

The bread was neatly placed in the bread bowl, but just place on the counter of the restaurant, and it could be served to the guests within five steps, but the waiter was Not willing to serve bread to our group of 22 guests.

Until the group leader made the third response, the waiter replied that "bread will be served when the entrée comes."

That's the word I can't stand anymore, I took the waiter on the spot to look at 4 tables that had no guests seated, and one table that was serving cold soup, and point the table asked the waiter, "If you said that bread will be served when the entrée comes, then may I ask why all other 13 table already placed the bread now on the table? Except our 4 tables with 22 people.

The waiter's reply was "you are different".

May I ask what is meant by "you are different"! ? Did we not pay? Because we are group guest, should treat differently? Or do you want to save money on bread?

Only at my request, the waiter provides each table bread that should have been neatly arranged in advance.

I am also a restaurant owner, and there are certain standards for the preparation of the restaurant. If the other 13 tables can be placed with bread in advance, why is it that only the 4 tables with group guest do not even have a basket of bread.

This shows that the restaurant originally planned not to provide bread to group guests, which is really outrageous.

Discriminated against like this, even the most delicious food will be greatly reduced.

The story is not over yet, after my main meal came to the table, the waiter took the bowl with two breads and threw it on my table without saying a word, only on my table.

What does it mean? Did I ask you to make up the bread? What do you mean by throwing a bowl of bread when the bread on the table is not finish yet? Are you upset to me?

I very much hope that all this is just an oversight, but the waiter's reply "you are different" is just a way of saying that you treat group guests differently.

In the end, it’s not that individual or group customers who don’t know French or English are inferior, but those who don’t know how to respect people are inferior. This kind of treatment just made me understand how poor the education and training in restaurants is.

Chefs, the food is nice, but this is not the restaurant you guys should stay, you guys deserve better...

A Midday Delight: La Terrasse Rouge's Culinary Splendors

Stepping into the embrace of La Terrasse Rouge, I embarked on a lunchtime escapade that seamlessly merged palate-enchanting cuisine, attentive service, and a picturesque panorama. This sunlit rendezvous unfolded into an experience that was nothing short of exceptional.

The tomato and burrata salad emerged as a true revelation, a symphony of garden-fresh ingredients that whispered of summer's bounty. With each forkful, the harmonious interplay of flavors danced on my tongue, creating a sensory tapestry that celebrated the artistry of ingredients. The sea bass, tender and flaky, graced the plate alongside a bed of couscous and crisp vegetables. This main course was an exploration of textures and tastes that was both satisfying and uplifting, a true ode to the culinary expertise of the kitchen.

Service, a hallmark of La Terrasse Rouge, unfolded with grace and attentiveness. The staff, attentive yet unobtrusive, attended to every detail with an air of professionalism that spoke volumes of their commitment to creating a memorable dining experience. Each course was introduced with enthusiasm, weaving a narrative that enhanced my connection to the meal.

As the midday sun painted the scene with its golden touch, the view from the terrace became a captivating backdrop. The city's pulse harmonised with the tranquil ambiance, and I found myself immersed in the delicate dance between urban vitality and serene relaxation. It was as if the view itself had been curated to complement the exquisite flavors on my plate.

And then came dessert, a sweet crescendo that marked the finale of this lunchtime serenade. The caramel ice cream encased within a delicate, crunchy shell was an enchanting conclusion that played on my taste buds with finesse. The caramel notes mingled effortlessly with the playful crunch, inviting me to savor each bite with indulgent delight.

In summation, La Terrasse Rouge delivered a lunchtime symposium of culinary delights that transcended the ordinary. The flavors and textures woven into each dish celebrated the art of gastronomy, while the attentive service and breathtaking view elevated the experience to a realm of pure enchantment. As I reluctantly bid adieu to this haven of gastronomic pleasure, I carried with me a heart full of memories and a palate enriched by a lunchtime...

We were looking forward to coming for months and it was unfortunately underwhelming. I own a travel company and brought my clients here today. We all have traveled a lot to France and other countries around the world, so this review comes with experience. First of all, I emailed in May a change in the number of people coming today, as well as emailed yesterday, and never got confirmation. And today we showed up and there were too many settings made. There should be an option to "modify" your reservation, not just "confirm" or "cancel" online if no one is actually reading correspondances. When we arrived, there wasn't a nice greeting or welcome, fine. But only 2 of our 6 dishes were really enjoyed- the fish and the veal. The lamb was over cooked. The steak was raw on one end and overcooked on the other, with a lot of it being fat. The fries were short pieces, like the ends of what you'd expect of a full frenchfry, not the actual potato. It was shared in the correspondance and saw that it was noted on the computer reservation at the restaurant that we had a vegan. However, the meal came with obviously non vegan mashed potatoes and fried parmesan stick things... so who knows what else wasn't vegan. It seemed very unorganized with the staff... we had four different people visit our table. Two meals came out, then five minutes later, two more, then many minutes later two more- so we finished at different times bc otherwise if we had waited, someone's food would...
