As we entered the restaurant we were âwelcomedâ by 2 of their cows in a stable by the entrance. Quite unique! The human staff were also welcoming and efficient. The dining space upstairs is spacious and beautifully thought out in a rustic style. Our first impressions were really good. Unfortunately the food wasnât quite so impressive. One of the starters, rillettes de poisson felt as though chunks of yesterdayâs left-over fish has been quickly stirred into some cream. Not very appetising. One of the mains was Parmentier (shepherdâs pie) âdone differentlyâ. Iâd advise sticking to the original recipe! It came out as a very strange flavoured rissole of different meats on some sloppy potato purĂ©e. My husband couldnât finish it. My lamb tagine was quite dry without much spice. Au bout dâune demi-heure, un serveur est venu nous informer quâun problĂšme informatique avait empĂȘchĂ© notre commande de passer. Ce genre dâimprĂ©vu peut arriver, et nous avons patientĂ© sans faire de difficultĂ©. Cependant, nous avons dĂ» attendre encore une demi-heure supplĂ©mentaire avant dâĂȘtre servis, soit une heure au total.
Ce qui mâa rĂ©ellement agacĂ©, câest quâaprĂšs une telle attente, mon entrecĂŽte Ă lâos, demandĂ©e bleue, mâa Ă©tĂ© servie complĂštement froide Ă lâintĂ©rieur, immangeable. Jâai tentĂ© dâinterpeller un serveur pour quâelle soit rĂ©chauffĂ©e, mais personne nâĂ©tait disponible, ce qui reflĂšte un manque Ă©vident dâeffectifs pour gĂ©rer le nombre de couverts. Finalement, jâai dĂ» demander une boĂźte pour ramener mon plat chez moi et le recuire moi-mĂȘme.
Pour deux biĂšres et deux plats, nous avons payĂ© 64,80 âŹ, un tarif totalement injustifiĂ© au vu de la qualitĂ© mĂ©diocre des plats, du service dĂ©sorganisĂ©, et de lâattente interminable. Ce restaurant semble vivre sur sa rĂ©putation, mais ne respecte pas les attentes de ses clients.
En tant que professionnel de la communication travaillant rĂ©guliĂšrement avec de nombreux restaurants Ă Limoges, je comprends que des erreurs peuvent arriver. Mais lĂ , câest ma troisiĂšme visite et le constat est sans appel : la premiĂšre fois, jâavais dĂ©jĂ Ă©tĂ© déçu, la deuxiĂšme Ă©tait passable, mais cette derniĂšre expĂ©rience a Ă©tĂ© la pire.
