CHAPAÏRE — Restaurant in Limoux

The most reliable restaurant in Espéraza, in terms of food quality and variety, service, atmosphere and just being open (from Wed to Sunday, lunch and dinner, except Sunday evening). Last night was moules-frites night (first Thursday every month - the usual menu is also available) and everything was as good as ever. Tasty moules-frites, refills available - some diners refilled 3 times, then had desserts! I found one refill MORE than enough, others were happy with one portion. The service was impeccable, the ambience warm and convivial. Two birthdays were celebrated while we were there! The local French love Chapaire, whilst we northern Europeans are made to feel more than welcome. There’s even a loyalty card! Congratulations to Guillaume, Manu, Delphine, Jean-Claude and the rest of the team on your fantastic restaurant 👏!

Le restaurant le plus fiable d'Espéraza, tant par la qualité et la variété de ses plats que par le service, l'ambiance et son ouverture (du mercredi au dimanche, midi et soir, sauf le dimanche soir). Hier soir, c'était soirée moules-frites (le premier jeudi de chaque mois – la carte habituelle est également disponible) et tout était aussi bon que d'habitude. Moules-frites savoureuses, et on peut se resservir– certains clients ont été resservis trois fois, ensuite des desserts ! J'ai trouvé une seule resservie plus que suffisante, d'autres se sont contentés d'une seule portion. Le service était impeccable, l'ambiance chaleureuse et conviviale. Deux anniversaires ont été fêtés lors de notre passage ! Les Français adorent Chapaire, tandis que nous, Européens du Nord, sommes plus que bienvenus. Il y a même une carte de fidélité ! Food is fantastic! Spaghetti Bolognese and spaghetti carbonara...never tasted anything like it before! Such good flavours. Husband had steak with homemade chips. Also very very impressed with the homemade chips and even more impressed with the cheese sauce. Panicotta dessert...unbelievable! Very welcoming and friendly staff. Child-friendly. Cosy place to eat. Very good value for money. We would have paid double in Holland for what we had with them and it would not have been half as nice. We would eat here everyday...

We were a party of 6 who booked to celebrate a friend’s birthday and to mark the occasion for two friends who are returning to the U.K. .
