Le Relais — Restaurant in Lisieux

This place is awesome. We have been here at least three times. Started off day 1 with a massive salad, then cod in a mustard sauce and chips. It was very good and reasonable. Decided to go back on the Sunday for the seafood platter, brilliant Today went back again, salmon, rice and Ratatouille, again the food was brilliant Although the majority of the staff do not speak much English and our French is very basic, one member of staff did his best to help and it was appreciated.

After having visited the place, which stopped serving food already at 14:00, we had a good impression of the decoration and location. The staff was not all too kind. Sadly we confirmed this unkindness when we had to cancel our reservation for the evening because we wouldn't make it in time. The person on the phone asked under which name the reservation went, how many people, and then cursed, made an angry sound and immediately hung...

We had 3 meals here during our time staying at a local campsite. Each one was delicious. We attempted to order in French & the staff were very kind with my efforts & spoke some English to us. Between us we worked it out! The restaurant is very dog friendly too, apologies for spilling her water bowl all over the floor 😃. I definitely recommend...
