Some of the best seafood ever. THE best oysters ever. Had 2 blue lobsters for dinner & 12 oysters. The lobster was grilled on an open charcoal fire, bathed in butter as it cooked, perfectly finished. Served up with butter and a hollandaise like beurre blanc sauce. As good as that was, the oysters were nearly impossibly good. I got 6 of the local & 6 of the brittany oysters. The local oysters came from the restaurants next door neighbor, harvested that morning. Best I've ever had. Will be back for more. Plus, this place has such an enjoyable atmosphere. Everyone is having a good time, from the owner, to chef, and waitstaff. It's infectious to everyone. The cost of the lobster and some fish is priced by €/100g. This can scare some people, and in some cases result in high bills. Never fear, ask and they will tell you ahead of time the weight and cost. Believe me, the cost is worth it.
Back again. The grilled lobsters are some of the best in this world. If anything, it's better. Wow what an amazing place to eat. For the oysters (huites) try the Etoiles. Expensive, but so yummy. Back 2 more times. 4th time here. We just had the flame broiled Langoustes. Maybe better than lobster. We'll have to go back again for...
Read moreWhen I start reading reviews with price not well clear, I somehow got scared. Ultimately, everything is well explained when you place your order, and although I've not ordered anything like the lobster whose price goes by weight, I'm reasonably confident the net weight prior cooking would have been told.
That said, this was a superb experience, certainly not cheap, but worth every single cent. The fish was super fresh, well cooked and the flavour given by a charcoal grill cooking is something remarkable.
Everything, from the interior to the presentation of dishes, is something that makes this fish restaurant a real experience.
Highly suggested the reservation, and, if you don't mind eating early, coming for the first service at 7:30 pm.
A note for the owner: though the quality was good, the overall price of desserts is in excess of 2.5 euros each and langoustines salad by 3. Alcohol cost had to be reviewed because I felt the small bottle of wine (can't remember which) 22 euro a...
Read moreWe visited the restaurant during our holiday, together with another couple. The restaurant was full. The atmosphere was pleasant, the décor simple but cosy. The food selection is typical for the area, and the menu offers a pleasant variety of choices. The wine selection gave no cause for complaint. We had excellent oysters with butter sauce, followed by grilled fish, which had obviously been left on the grill a little too long – the skin was no longer crispy, but burnt. This taste had partially transferred to the fish fillet. If this was intentional, it was a waste in terms of the skin, which is perfectly edible. The service was not quite as attentive as I would have liked, and I found the meal too long for two courses at two hours – but that is perhaps typical of Germany. In any case, it is worth a visit, for which you can expect to pay a...
