This is NOT a restaurant. It is at best an oyster bar. All outdoor seating, MOSTLY under an umbrella (some of the tables were in full sun). We ordered two starters and a variety of oysters to sample. A bottle of regional "artisan" apple juice. They forgot the starter. The bottle of juice had mold under the cap/on the rim of the bottle. Sent it back. Waitress never returned. Waiter brought another bottle with the forgotten appetizers. Mold under the cap again. "It's artisan, monsieur !" I asked,"Pas propre est 'artisan' ?" (Not clean is 'artisan'?) We just asked for more water. He took the time to bus another table. We didn't receive any more water. The appetizer turned out to be little jars you can buy in the local supermarket. So, 8€ per little jar, and 16€ for nine oysters. Be...
Read moreThis place is a typical oyster farm with a building accepting customers both to pick orders at home or to eat on site. The quality and freshness of oysters, crabs, lobsters, shellfish offered there is the best one can expect in the area. No fish dishes are offered, only shellfish and crustaceans. The local cider is good, but various white wines are also available to drink with your meal. The service is casual, the tables can be chosen outside or inside, and you can move inside with them, but don’t expect anything fancy. And take a rain jacket to avoid surprises by the local weather. The waiters are very friendly. The prices are a bit of high end, which is expected for such food. There is a...
Read moreWe liked the setting. Tables and parasols well spaced out. Friendly service with good advice if you're unsure about oyster sizes. We ordered 6 oysters, clams, whelks and prawns that were served with a mayonnaise dip. All very nice although the oysters we ordered were a bit small. We really enjoyed the prawns so we ordered 6 large oysters and 6 more prawns. The large oysters were delicious. This was finished off with a frozen profiterole in a glass with a caramel sauce in the base and a chocolate button on the top. That was lovely too. Well worth trying. We will definitely visit again when...
