Bryan's Café — Restaurant in Lyon

Terrible place!! Never ever again! If you want to loose your time and good mood, you're welcome here. The place is so poorly managed that we were waiting for our order (was a burger) 1.5 hours!!! The couple close to our table was waiting for their burgers for 2 (!!!) hours. There was only 1 waitress, that served the whole pub (poor girl... she is the one who is facing all complaints of the visitors instead of manager or owner and she even went to buy bread for burgers in close supermarket because the kitchen functions poorly). My comments about the kitchen are indescribable, the burgers are tasteless, without sauces, the vegan burger contains I don't know what... the kitchen itself is close to the wc and while you're watching it, the doubts are coming about sanitary conditions and quality of meat. So, our conclusion is: it would be better not to pay a bill, but to leave the full amount to the waitress that was gentle and was coping with all this mess...

Superb Friendly Service and Great Food.

I am traveller from Australia staying nearby Bryan’s Café in Lyon. I stumbled across this fabulous outlet by chance while looking to get some lunch. After the gym, I was in the mood for a good dose of protein and carbohydrates. I found the right place.

Inside I met Soukaina. A delightful young woman who spoke English and offered to translate the menu for me. Outside, on the fixed blackboard, she translated every item on the menu for me with a big smile. I thought how she is what any employer in hospitality could wish for. A desire to go the extra mile.

I settled for 1 of the 5 lunch specials. For €13:50 I got a meal worth twice as much, superbly presented alfresco.

Without a doubt I will be back to try other items on the menu. Most of all a BIG thank you goes to Soukaina.

Cuisine : une salade de chèvre chaud « fait maison » avec du pain mou, du chèvre soignon qui vient de Leclerc et une vinaigrette sans goût. Un suprême de poulet de la taille d’un pigeon ou d’une caille. Une salade verte qui c’est transformé en haricot vert (congelé aussi au vu du goût). Mais sinon les frites sont bonnes ! Service : un serveur incapable d’énoncer son menu et incapable de retenir une commande. On est 5 à table il note 8 plats… un serveur qui vous verse du gras de viande sur vos vêtements aussi c’est sympa. La casquette de notre patron s’en souvient. Ambiance : Musique et déco incroyable… si vous cherchez une boîte de nuit un midi sur un jour de semaine… Impossible de s’entendre alors qu’on est tous à la même table et qu’on parle super fort. Mais sinon la déco est vraiment sympa. Résumé : de manière globale depuis la reprise du nouveau patron (qui renverse le gras de viande sur ces clients durant le service), la qualité est vraiment médiocre. Le service est désagréable et vraiment mauvais. Le Bryan’s avant était notre cantine. Le Bryan’s maintenant est devenu notre cauchemar. On se force à y retourner tous les 5-6 mois par nostalgie. Et bien ici c’était notre dernier passage. Sinon en face y’a une super bonne rôtisserie. N’hésitez pas vous gagnerez...
