We had a truly lovely dinner at Cuisine à Manger at Hôtel Ermitage. From the very beginning, we felt welcomed and well cared for. The meal started with an amuse-bouche made with asparagus — fresh, delicate, and a great first impression of what was to come. Each dish that followed had its own character and story. The flavors were thoughtful and well-balanced, never overwhelming. You could tell the ingredients were fresh and carefully chosen. Nothing felt rushed or showy — just honest, well-executed cooking with a refined touch. The highlight for me was the dessert: a special peach tiramisu. Light, creative, and absolutely delicious — the kind of dessert you think about again the next day. Beyond the food, the whole experience felt calm and inviting. The service was kind and attentive, and the setting — overlooking Lyon — added something quietly magical to...

I chose the signature menu with wine pairing and finished with a coffee — and the food was truly superb. Each dish was full of flavour, and the sommelier’s suggestions were spot-on. It was a real pleasure for the palate. However, the experience took a disappointing turn when the waiter asked me to move to another table for my digestive, so he could seat new guests. I politely declined, but I found the request inappropriate and disrespectful, especially after a €130 bill (plus a €15 tip). When dining at this level, one expects to feel welcome from start to finish. I wouldn’t return for dinner — or at least not without being ready to be hurried out or asked to move to...

Classic French cuisine at its best: This restaurant is absolutely fabulous. Ideally located on the hills of St-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or, it offers a scenic view of the city of Lyon that has no equal. The menu there is somewhat limited but changes very often and the chef offers a selection of beautifully prepared French classic dishes. Everything was excellent and the wine selection top notch. The service was impeccable and deserves also to be mentionned. At last, the prices are a little bit on the upside but, given the overall quality of the place, these are actually quite decent. An...
